Tree Dismantling & Removal

Local Tree Surgeons

Occasionally there is no option other than to remove potentially dangerous trees. Decay, Fungal Infection, Bacterial Infection and simply being planted in the wrong location are common reasons for removal.

Felling a large tree in a restricted area will normally require the tree to be climbed and dismantled in sections.

Tree dismantling and removing is a technique used to remove a tree while avoiding any nearby hazards including; property, fences, sheds, greenhouses, phone-wires, flowerbeds, lawns etc.

Once the climber is in the tree, they will use state of the art rigging and lowering devices to carefully direct and lower pieces of the tree down to the ground with the support of an experienced grounds team. The lower branches are always cut first, and then the climber continues to cut and climb towards the top of the tree. This technique allows each cut branch to be lowered to the ground without any obstruction, leaving the site clean and tidy with minimal disturbance to its surroundings.

Once the branches are all down, the trunk is cut up into pieces; the length of each piece is calculated based on diameter and weight. The trunk can be cut down to ground level and Eco-Plugs (a stump killing treatment which will not affect the surrounding area) can be used to prevent regrowth or alternatively, it can be ground out with a stump grinder (a machine with a high-speed disk with teeth that grinds the stump and roots into small chips).
